Albert LEBOURG (1849-1928) - Landscape with Trees, Composition Study

Albert Lebourg (1849–1928) was a French Impressionist painter, a student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, and close to Claude Monet. Renowned for his luminous landscapes and nature studies, he regularly exhibited alongside major Impressionists, and his works are featured in numerous French museums.

This pencil study with brown and red highlights, dating from the late 19th – early 20th century, depicts a landscape with trees in a refined and spontaneous composition. The light line and colored highlights demonstrate Lebourg's sensitivity in his preparatory studies. The artwork is presented in a coherent old frame, with normal patina and wear.
